Framework
An agreement that sets terms for work the buyer may order later, often from several suppliers. The value shown usually covers the whole agreement, not one job.
Open for bids / closing date
You must submit by the closing date and time, normally through the buyer's own online portal. Late bids are normally refused.
Clarification questions
A deadline for asking the buyer questions about the tender. It is earlier than the closing date.
Conditions of participation
What the buyer asks suppliers to show before they can be considered, such as experience, insurance or accreditations.
Bids are scored on
How the buyer will compare bids, usually a split between price and quality. A 60/40 split in favour of quality means the cheapest bid will not necessarily win.
Lots
A tender can be split into parts. You can often bid for only the lots that suit you.
Area (ITL)
The buyer names an official statistical area for where the work is, not a street address. Check the tender documents for the actual sites.
UK4 and other notice codes
Official codes for the type of notice. A "tender notice" means bids are being invited.

Description

Wrexham County Borough Council (WCBC) is looking to appoint a supplier to provide an accommodation based housing related support service for people experiencing Violence Against Women, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (VAWDASV). Support offered will be in accordance with the purpose of Housing Support Grant set out in Welsh Government’s Housing Support Grant Practice Guidance, to prevent homelessness and support people to have the capability, independence, skills and confidence to access and/or maintain a stable and suitable home. The Contract will commence on 1st February 2027 and will run for an initial three year term. There will be an option to extend for two further periods of two years. If fully extended the Contract will run for seven years until 30th January 2034. The Conditions of Contract which apply to the Contract prior to the extension period will apply to any extension of the Contract Term. The Contract will be funded by a Housing Support Grant and as such the maximum available budget at the time of tender is £74,000 (excluding VAT) per year. Any tender submission received where the yearly value exceeds £74,000 (exc. VAT) will be disregarded and not considered for award of Contract. If additional funding becomes available throughout the Contract Term, regardless of its source, WCBC may request the contracted service provider to increase or enhance the service being provided, potentially via one of the below options (please note that this is not an exhaustive list): • An increase in support hours delivered through this Contract. • Additional staffing resources, equipment or systems where relevant. • Additional properties, units, rooms or equivalent • An increase in the number of service users receiving support through this Contract.
